MEXICAN HOME REMEDIES WORKSHOP

In the Mexican culture, curanderas or traditional healers work with any resource they find around them, whether natural element or domestic object, to facilitate healing, remove evil spirits and restore harmony to the individual and the community. One of the resources curanderas use a lot in their healing work is honey. Honey is considered sacred by indigenous groups as it's related to their creation story, like in the case of the Mayan people that believe the bees to be their ancestors.

During this mini workshop you'll learn about the history and mystery of honey in the Mexican culture and learn simple rituals and practices with honey to take home and apply to your life.
